DexiHunter: AR meets crypto rewards for profitable monster-hunting.
DexiHunter is a mobile gaming application that gives its players access to a worldwide augmented reality (AR) universe, which we affectionately call the Dexiverse. Within the Dexiverse there are AR bounties placed around the globe in the form of crypto, NFTs, QR codes (partner business vouchers), gaming assets, and DexiCash; an in-game currency used throughout the entire Dexioprotocol gaming ecosystem to purchase non-blockchain items that can both improve game-play as well as add to the aesthetics of a player’s profile.
Task
Mobile gaming app involves conducting user research, conceptualizing the app's vision and features, creating user flow diagrams and wireframes, designing the visual elements and branding, building interactive prototypes for testing, iterating based on feedback, ensuring accessibility and localization, collaborating with the development team, conducting usability testing, preparing design handoff materials, and providing ongoing design support. This comprehensive process ensures the app's design is user-centric, visually appealing, and aligns with the immersive augmented reality gaming experience in the Dexiverse.
Designing the DexiHunter mobile gaming app presents challenges such as integrating seamless AR, designing a user-friendly interface in AR, balancing aesthetics and functionality, ensuring user engagement and retention, addressing accessibility and
localization, dealing with technical constraints and platform limitations, balancing monetization and user experience, conducting user testing and iteration, and staying competitive and innovative in the gaming industry.
DexiHunter is an exhilarating and collaborative experience that involves pushing the boundaries of augmented reality gaming,
overcoming design challenges, and creating visually stunning and immersive experiences within the Dexiverse.
